Daily Duties at Poly Plastic Products :

Responsible for purchasing at both Pennsylvania and North Carolina facilities with an allotted $3 million dollar annual budget. Purchasing materials include: • Color concentrates/additives for blown film production • Packaging cartons • Paper cores • Tapes/core plugs • Pallets/specialty pallets • Stretch wrap Procurement responsibilities include: • Monitoring Pennsylvania and North Carolina inventories to ensure sufficient materials are available to meet production needs. • Coordinating exchange of production materials on inter-company truck swaps. • Achieving optimum pricing in purchasing sectors. • Monitoring and understanding markets that purchasing efforts are focused in. • Forecasting future pricing of production materials. • Strategic buying in accordance with inventory and pending price increases/reductions. • Managing multiple vendors/sales persons in purchasing sectors. • Negotiating competitive pricing and efficient deliveries/lead times. • Monitoring deliveries of production materials to ensure they are received in a timely manner.
