Daily Duties at Boeing:

As a supplier manager i was moved when ever there was a need for supplier intervention within the supply base, to coordinate weekly program meeting to track performance, part status and corrective action plans. Support lean kitting process, develop long tear modernization of machines and tooling to allow better performance predictability and reducing lead times. I managed the biggest supplier for the C-17 with over 6 million dollars a ship set, I managed suppliers for the U.S. Army to monitor their facilities and drive corrective action plans or help with technical issues and led any negotiations that would be contractual binding. I would teach lean to supplier and with that I saved over $250,000 a ship set to the V-22 program. I would teach the suppliers how to manage to metrics and become successful.

What they like about Boeing:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
