Daily Duties at Milestone Counseling Services:

 Recruited to join comapny by a colleague who knew the CEO. I was brought on board to build the administrative and human resources infrastructure.  Participate in company strategic planning and decision making as a member of senior management team, resulting in improvements to the business development process and company profitability.  Increased documentation efficiency and reduced administrative costs by 33% through implementation of Human Resources Information System.  Successfully accomplished transition of 25 Independent Contractors to employee status within 90-day timeframe which required a complete revision of new-hire orientation, onboarding paperwork, drug-testing policy, training, and performance management processes. This resulted in increased employee satisfaction as evidenced by results and comments on employee satisfaction survey.  Established training team and converted live training process to series of video, electronic document, and webinar delivery methods which reduced training, travel, and payroll costs by 80%  Adopted recruitment management structure of continually resourcing candidates to address potential unforeseen staff vacancies in high-turnover industry.  Facilitated implementation of first company comprehensive benefits package which required negotiating with insurance carriers and other benefits providers to obtain most favorable rates for the company as well as communicating coverage information to employees.  Coordinated and directed working teams through six-month process of obtaining three-year CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) Accreditation. Lead each team in establishing and monitoring performance measures across all departments as well as identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the organization to address strategies for improvement. This effort resulted in the organization being awarded a three-year CARF Accreditation after a first-time survey.  Supervise two office managers and an administrative assistant in all human resources and administrative functions for corporate and regional company offices including employee relations, benefits, compensation, and client documentation to ensure compliance with licensing and company requirements.  Regularly analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.  Established policies and procedures as the first company Corporate Compliance Officer to address a needed means for staff to report code of conduct violations. I also conducted the investigations into allegations made by staff.
