Daily Duties at Nyc/ Human Resources Administration:

Interviewing individuals and determine eligibility criteria for those who needed temporary financial assistance, such as TANF; following specific federal and state policies and procedures, as set forth by local government. Manage an average of 250 case files; these files summarized families and individual who needed assistance with home-care, medical care, apartment search, drug and alcohol abuse program, mentorship programs, food program, cash assistance, housing, legal, home furnishing. Process cases closing on individuals and families who failed to comply with the NYC/ HRA's regulations under social service able body program. Reopened cases and restored lost benefits, based on federal, state and city budgetary guidelines. Ensured the accurate financial formula was used to determine welfare recipients received the maximum allotment under federal and state guidelines. Analyze documents to determine fraudulent paperwork that may be use to determine eligibility for government fund, or misuse of government funds. Assist in the investigation of fraudulent activities from unscrupulous individuals, who miss used government funds and illegal activities.
