West Term Desk Worked as an analyst on the West Term Natural Gas Desk, which trades very large deals over 20 years out from the Rockies towards California, including transportation, natural gas, physical deals, swaps, and options. • Supported trade book with assets valued at over one billion dollars • Created a representation of the Desk’s commodity exposure on a daily basis reflecting current market conditions and operational realities • Extracted, cleaned, and prepared data to run in models • Verified 0% error rate in exposure at the end of each trading day • Ensured P\L was correct to within 99.9% at the end of each trading day • Developed, ran, and maintained new models • Prepared and delivered presentations for upper management to paint a simpler portrayal of complex deals • Used statistics to solve trading and market challenges, appropriately selecting the relevant analytical technique
