Daily Duties at International Business Machines:

Project Manager in charges of pre-sales assessments and bid development to generate project plans, price and contracts for large software migrations and consolidations. On a daily basis I pulled together engineer teams for specific bids and worked with the engineers to assess the project plan and develop cost estimates and SOWs for each custom engagement. I ofter had 5 or more assessment on-going at any given time on daily basis. My daily tasks also included the management and maintenance of the project plan and SOW templates for up to 5 different technology environments such as Oracle and SAP. I worked with the engineering teams in each area to maintain and enhance our project plans based on feedback for the implementation projects. My duties also included the development and maintenance of the operational processes associated with my department. My daily responsibilities included performing QA responsibilities the majority of all the assessments developed in my department, this included applying QA standards and gaining formal approvals and/or adjustments from key Delivery Managers, Sales, Manager, IBM Internal QA, Offshore Delivery Managers, and Director Level Approval. Once all assessments are approved it is my daily responsibility to formally release the set of approved plans, SOW, and price to the sales lead for presentation to the client. At that point it was my responsibility to assist with negotiations and oversee and apply adjustments and re-approvals to the final assessment deliverables to achieve contract approval and transition to a formal project start. Responsible for assisting with Change Management requests and costing and and gaining approvals as projects progress. I also worked with the engineers to discuss and maintain project metrics. I also developed training materials and presentations to support training of new sales and delivery personal in our department and I lead and participated in the week long bi-yearly training sessions.
