Daily Duties at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital:

Defined caspase-8, for the first time, as pro-tumorigenic in neuroblastoma. Outlined a novel mechanism by which tumor cells utilize to promote tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis in response to DNA damaging agents. Optimized and mastered a novel ultrasound-guided orthotopic xenograft mouse model to mimic tumor growth in the para-adrenal region. Orchestrated the training of more than 20 laboratory members on advanced methodologies and highly specialized equipment. Collaborated with many scientists worldwide to discuss and investigate possible solutions, outcomes, and strategies of my research.
