Daily Duties at George Mason University:

• Management of proposal process with faculty from College of Science, College of Health and Human Services, School of Public Policy, Krasnow Institute, and School of Law • Preparation and submission of 100 proposals per year on average under strict deadlines • Submission of proposals to NIH, NSF, NASA, USAID, DoD, DOE, DOT, NOAA and other federal sponsors, as well as state and private sponsors • Analysis of complex sponsor guidelines and proposal documents to ensure proposals are compliant • Development of proposal budgets of up to $20 million that conform to OMB Circular regulations • Communicate with and coordinate proposal process with sponsors, subcontractors, collaborators, consultants, department administrators, and contracts department as necessary • Revision of budgets, preparation of grant transfers, review of additional requested documents as post-award actions
