Daily Duties at The Wealshire And The Ponds:

Supervise and lead in the person's care and to plan,implement and evaluate their care plans with the staff involved in their care delivery.Identify their care needs in conjunction with person,their family and the team.Promote high standards of nursing care for me and the team,by ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth efficient manner.Leading by example,promote teamwork and support with the colleagues.Contribute in clinical reviews and nursing reviews ensuring accurate feedback on the person's care.Encourage independence and personal choice and help to provide an enviroment which is conducive to patient's with varied and complex needs realizing their potential to live as independently as they can find possible.Work with Supervisor/DON to ensure occupancy levels are achieved and maintained.Collaborates with physician or other licensed Independent Practioner to arrange for further medical treatment when needed.Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment,treatments,medications administered,discharge instructions provided and follow up care arranged.Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.Administers medications and medical treatments competently as directed by physician or licensed independent practioner.Follows infection control procedures.Perform medical procedures such as changing wound dressings,provides foley catheter care and change as needed,starting intravenous lines to deliver antibiotics for extreme infections.Provides emotional support to patient's and their families as well.Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements. Provides a safe,comfortable,therapeutic patient enviroment.Assisted in the orientation of new staff.
