Daily Duties at The Wealshire And The Ponds:
Works as a float nurse.delivers care at 16 beds skilled nursing care facility or 30 residents in the Long term Assisted living.Collaborates with physician or other licensed Independent practioner to arrange further medical treatment when needed.Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment,treatments,medications administered,discharge instructions provided and follow up care arranged.Prepares patient's admissions and discharges.Interact with departments regarding patient care.Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice.Administers medications and medical treatments completely as directed by a physician or licensed Independent practioner.Follows infection control procedures.perform medical procedures such as changing wound dressings,performs enteral tube feeding,foley catheter care and change,central venous catheter care and dressing change.starting a intravenous lines to deliver antibiotics for extreme infections.Provides a safe,comfortable,therapeutic enviroment.Uses clinical judgement in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities.assisted in the orientation of a new staff.help physician's during exams and treatments.provides supervision to the Cna's.Maintains medical records by using electronic medical record software.
