Daily Duties at Johnson & Johnson:
As part of an International Development Program (IDP) assignment I was selected to work directly with Consumer and Professional marketing directors and Research and development group in order to be prepared for the launch of a new product: Simponi a biologic for the management of Rheumatoid conditions Learning and contribute on the initiatives of professional marketing strategies by developing unbranded campaign on the website, pre-launch messaging, messaging mapping & testing (research), journal ad development and testing. Detail visual aid development stages 1 & 2 and testing, slim jim development, mechanism of action (work in collaboration with research and development team, marketing team and health care compliance), unbranded website, HAQ score tool in English and Spanish. Learning and contribute on the initiatives of consumer marketing strategies by developing patient kit including getting approval from promotional review committee, patient education material. I had to networking by arranging meetings with my colleagues in order to learn from them, marketing research, strategic, brand team, medial department, sales training, marketing service, and advertising agency. I clearly demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and make immediate contributions to projects/teams through many professional marketing projects. On all occasions, I demonstrated to be trustworthy as a team member and contributor and required very little if any oversight. I am clearly a self-started that will find a way to get the job done and deliver a high-quality result. I demonstrated to navigate all complex elements of a new product, new organization and new operating environment. I have a strong grasp of key marketing strategies, market research, approval process, and marketing tactics. I was very successful in taking on additional consumer projects and building on my professional marketing skillset. This was a very important addition to my skills and background that I has built over the years. In particular I was a tremendous help in several critical consumer projects, including market research and design elements surrounding other marketing materials. I was very successful in networking with key Janssen individuals and partnering with other functional areas. In particular I worked very well with advertising agency, promotional review committee and marketing research partners to accomplish my objectives. I was well known by Janssen employees A special project that was assigned to develop a molecular story gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my leadership skills. I exhibited and built those critical skills through this project. I was able to lead a cross-functional team including individuals from the clinical scientist organization, sales training, medical affairs, and the project vendor. In the end, I lead that team to a high-quality deliverable that added value to the launch of the product. I was able to lead a diverse team without formal authority. Undertake a market analysis to include details on the market characteristics (market size and growth - dollars, units, prescriptions, days of therapy, patient types, market share development, number of competitors, market trends, market attractiveness); competitor characteristics (product characteristics, competitor marketing strategies, sales force activities, pricing analysis); prescriber characteristics (number of prescribers by specialty, physician prescription activity, desires and unmet needs). Liaise with advertising companies to prepare detail aids, leaflets, posters and other materials (print and electronic). Ensure the placement of ads in relevant journals and the distribution of materials to healthcare professionals within specified timeframes. Work with Regulatory to ensure that the content of all promotional material is fully supported by the Product Information and literature, and in accordance with the guidance offered by the Medicine Australia’s Code of Conduct. Organize symposia of invited speakers - organize venue and catering, speakers, and invitations. Undertake strategic market planning analysis by identifying foreseeable threats to avoid and opportunities to pursue, environmental analysis, customers to serve, competitors to challenge, product characteristics on which the business will compete, market segmentation and product positioning analysis. Conduct research on new and established markets, forecast changes in the market environment, seek and develop areas of business opportunities. Analyze customer questions, identify trends and recommend appropriate actions to the Marketing Manager. Work collaboratively with medical/clinical research associates to plan post-marketing surveillance studies to capture clinical data on safety parameters in local populations. Work collaboratively with sales reps to plan and implement product familiarization programs to enable the medical practitioners to evaluate and become familiar with the product.
