Daily Duties at Skidmore Owings & Merrill Llc:

• Produced, designed, and coordinated SF-330 Government Format Proposals for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and a major signature Architectural Design & Engineering Firm for their National Government Program Division located in Washington, DC. Our efforts yielded over $150 million in net fees for SOM. Our 4 person team won recent projects as the Smithsonian National Museum of American History Renovation; the Architect of the Capitol 5-Year IQC; the National Park Service 5-Year Nationwide IDIQ; the National Museum of the United States Army, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Lincoln Hall, National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C.; three (3) Standard Embassy Design (SED) United States Embassy New Embassy Complexes (NEC) at overseas locations; the Qatar Petroleum Complex Project, Doha, Qatar; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Master Planning, Design and Program Integration Activities IDC. Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and, the C4ISR Center of Excellence, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland • Coordinated with multiple internal departments, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to produce proposals and presentations for major federal government, military, and private sector procurement projects • Specialist in production of proposals for the federal government Standard Forms 330 or 254/255 and various state agencies and international proposal criteria. Strong Swiss-design and innovative design background. Met 100% of deadlines under fast turnaround conditions given short, government-set deadlines • Required to produce templates for all of the sub consultants for the various proposals that we were producing. Because of the size and capacity of our consultants, they were limited to using Word as their main production tools. I created these templates in QuarkXpress, PageMaker, InDesign, CorelDraw, Word and WordPerfect when necessary, and they were identical and fully functional in every way. After the proposal was accepted and we were invited to proceed to Phase II, we were responsible for producing PowerPoint presentations, which included, inserted graphics, charts, forms, photos, animations, and detail drawings, which usually ran in the range of 150-200 slides per presentation, depending upon the depth and information that the designers, project managers, architects, construction coordinators, and others required for their parts of the presentation. In the six years that I produced proposals and presentations, we never missed any deadline • Produced or assisted in over 55 proposals within a 5 year period • Streamlined production to reduce overtime by 75% • Generated creative proposals including covers, bindings, charts, graphs, illustrations, print coordination and delivery of the final proposals under strict deadlines and critical specifications • Design covers; create innovative special effects with Photoshop • Achieved high success short-list rate
