Daily Duties at Kearfott Corporation:
I reviewed the specification documentation from the BA, if I was not also the BA and setup a schedule, based on programmer availability. After the estimated to complete date was estimated I reviewed the schedule with the BA or user for their acceptance. If any scheduling conflicts where incurred I had them corrected before the programmer started to work on the task. After the scheduling/acceptance tasks were completed I would give the reviewed the specification documentation with the programmer. The programmer then would start the preliminary program documentation. I then reviewed the preliminary program documentation to ensure that the programmer understood the scope of work. There would be periodic code reviews during the development stage. I would talk with the programmers to see if the were on schedule of if they encountered and problems on a daily/weekly bases. There would be a weekly meeting with the BA and users to review the stats of their programs and ask for feed back on any programming problems. Provide technical advice when required. When the programming/script task was completed I tested the program/script to ensure it meet the user requirement. After my testing I would work with the BA or user to ensure that the program/script meets their requirements. When the BA/user signed off on the task I worked with the DBA and Security employees in Wisconsin to ensure that the production database was updated with the new code and that the tables and security was updated. If I found that there was specification creep or that the specification given did not meet their requirement I asked the BA or user to close the current programming task and open up a new request. I also requested training material training classes if required, performed annual progress and salary reviews. Informed management of any displinary action was needed.
