Daily Duties at Thomas Industries:
Provided management and the Audit Committee with an independent appraisal of the adequacy and effectiveness of financial and operational policies, procedures, and internal controls, and the extent of compliance therewith. Scheduled and directed the completion of financial audits, operational audits, internal control audits, and other audit projects and assisted the external auditors in completing the annual financial audit. Assisted with drafting and reviewing financial statements, footnotes and MD&A for the 10-K. Hired, evaluated and managed a department of four staff internal auditors and assisted in their development.
