Daily Duties at Northrop Grumman Corporation:

Rebuilt the security function for two business units, Federal Mission Programs and Health IT within the U. S. States and around the world, to ensure the security and safety of thousands of personnel, visitors, facilities, equipment, classified, proprietary, technology and intellectual property. Applied security risk management methodologies and principles to create the department’s vision and key strategic initiatives. Coached and developed security professionals, industrial security managers and contract security guards, evaluating their performance to quality standards, company policies and government regulations. Implemented cost effective physical security standards across the two business units, ensuring a comprehensive approach for start-up facilities, retrofits and extensions. Developed metrics to gauge effectiveness security programs in meeting goals related to reducing risk to programs, employees and company reputation. Conducted criminal investigations, preparing and presenting written findings and taking corrective actions. Facilitated outreach with law enforcement agencies to coordinate efforts on security related matter, such as VIP events and criminal investigations. Spearheaded all mission-critical security and safety programs, including security and safety continuing education, emergency/evacuation/response programs and the International Security Program for deploying staff to global sites. Administered and monitored security budgets to ensure financial targets were met.
