Daily Duties at Monumental Contracting Service:
Contributed to planning and design of $200M Birmingham International Airport air cargo expansion and runway extension (Alcoa Fujikura joint venture), City of Birmingham capital improvement park & recreation program, and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HOPE VI, 560-unit multi-family) project. Managed change orders, implementation, schedules, subcontractor relations, and cost controls on construction projects valued at total of over $50M for major customers including Sprint, Bechtel Cingular, and T- Mobile. Maintained MBE / DBE participation status for both existing and potential projects. Site Construction Manager for T-Mobile / Sprint PCS new cell sites and 911 GPS System project. Supported A&E department with zoning and pre-construction feasibility walks. Oversaw building structure alterations, rooftop / tower / and concrete vault installations, site construction / preparation, and landscaping.
