Daily Duties at Eastern Nephrology Associates Pitt County Memorial Hospital:
Responsible for, but not limited to accessing and de-accessing AVF’s AVG’s and Perm Caths for the purpose of dialysis as well as IV starts as needed. Responsible for; assessment and evaluation of patients in acute need of dialysis ranging in need from pulmonary edema to accidental or intentional overdose. Responsible for developing plans of care and evaluating said plans, medication administration, monitoring telemetry, emergency care, documentation and coordination of services between the interdisciplinary team. Worked closely with the ICU patients in the delivery of dialysis. Responsible for the development of “High Risk/Low Volume” program as well as responsible for writing a hospital wide policy and procedure to educate other medical providers with necessary insights in the care of venous and arterial accesses.
