Daily Duties at Somerset Community College:

Teach 5 online classes per semester to assist in accomplishing the goal of advancing excellence and innovation in teaching, learning, and service; increase student access, success and retention, transfer and success; enhance the economic and workforce development. Utilize innovative and effective online instructional methods as measured by peer observation, student evaluations, and learning. Provide academic advising to Information Technoloy and Business students and attend advisor workshops. Develop and execute seminars and webinars regarding Online Learning and Educational Technology for faculty and staff. Participate in local organization that encourages the S.T.E.M (science, technology, engineering and math) educational approach to encourage middle-school, high-school and college girls and women to pursue education in these areas and to pursue careers in Technology. Attend conferences (online and on-ground) that promote the use of digital resources and online learning in higher education to assist in accomplishing the goals of cultivating diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion and advancing excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and service. Teach abroad in various countries to assist with the goals of promoting the recognition and value of the college and the district, cultivating diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion and advancing excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and service. Develop and execute seminars and webinars at various Online Learning and Educational Technology association conferences.
