Daily Duties at Johnson Controls Inc:

JCI Service Project Manager Service Project Manager throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Responsible for managing more than1 million dollars (revenue) of service projects installation direct to owners, building personnel, facility departments. Managed and supervised (10) automation technicians, as well as various electrical/mechanical subcontractors. Responsible for the overall execution and performance of service executed mechanical or technical retrofit projects and L&M (labor & Material). Perform estimates, budgets, and selling of Johnson Controls building automation systems and Johnson Controls HVAC equipment (Chillers, Unit heaters, Heat pumps, A/C rooftops and Spilt systems). Provide project coordination for day to day activities of Field Automation Technician’s and Union Mechanics (field and sub-contractors). Secure new work and change orders from the existing customer base. Provide service project estimating and estimating reviews. Provide technical resource for Sales on large projects. Plan and control assigned projects. Oversee the commissioning process to insure that it is performed in accordance with standard practices. Secure new work and change orders from the existing customer base. Estimate work and present proposals to the customer. Act as a technical resource for sales on larger projects. Control manpower to proper staffing. Responsible for asset management including collections, cost control, progress billings and payables. Attend job progress meetings. • Design programming of DDC-based building automation/energy management • Formulate detailed Sequences-of-Operations to meet project specifications. • Develop programming for control systems. • Johnson N2, Metasys Software • Technical guidance and support including set-up, verification, operation, and troubleshooting complex building automation and control systems • Develops plan, scope, and budget for assigned facilities projects • Assists operations and maintenance departments with scope development and solving unusual problems, functionally and creatively • Develops and implements commissioning plans • Maintains facilities and manufacturing drawing documentation • Use multiple resources to analyze data for abnormal findings, further investigating where warranted and identifying cause-effect relationships impacting the data • Experience with risk evaluation: proactively identifying areas of potential risk exposure, thoroughly analyzing the situation to ensure the financial investment of a solution makes sense and implementing cost-effective controls to mitigate risk
