Daily Duties at Unified Government Of Athens Clarke County :
• Responsible for oversight of eight departments including Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Central Services, Computer Information Services, Board of Elections, Tax Assessor, and Cooperative Extension • Successfully manage multi-departmental projects to achieve desired results • Ensure implementation of Mayor and Commission goals and objectives • Evaluate departmental budget requests, reports, and studies • Coordinate development of reports, studies, grant proposals, and ordinances • Assist in Department Director and other management hiring processes • Ensure completeness of Mayor & Commission agenda reports following rigorous timelines and procedures • Assist with Requests for Proposals and selection of professional service providers • Assume duties of Manager as needed
