Daily Duties at Capital Area Legal Services:
Conducted interviews in order to ascertain whether a client has a viable legal issue and determine if the firm could assist them. Assisted with legal investigations on behalf of clients. Negotiated and developed conciliation agreements between parties through mediation and alternative dispute resolutions. Utilized the following laws to execute legal services: Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure (FRBP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Worker’s Compensation. Prepared and filed legal documentation, including motions, briefs and orders for attorneys.
