Daily Duties at Magellan Specialty Health:
Responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the “soft rules” used in the MUMPS Claims System, including, but not limited to: Research, analysis and resolution of complex claim and configuration issues Interpreting and translating Health Plan contract criterion and coding guidelines into optimal system adjudication rules using CPT, coding guidelines, ICD-9, HCFA Medicare policy and fee schedules Installation, updates and maintenance of ICD – 9 and CPT coding rules and configurations Resolution of all claims and coding issues related to healthcare, correct coding, claims bundling logic and detection of fraud
