Daily Duties at Target Coorporation:

• Lead team in partnering closely with cross functional partners in order to have a full understanding of the business and design needs by area . • Training QA supervisors and inspectors. • Develop and Manage Monthly/Seasonal Fabric according to Design’s Concept for each base calendar. • Lead the team in the creation of fabric palettes for each business that support Target's brand integrity with fabrications that continuously exceed guest expectations, align to assortment pricing strategies, maintain consistency in brand quality across product categories, support ongoing innovation and differentiation of the brand and impact the business . • Fabric WIP against T&A. • Responsible for implementation of quality structure, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise that supports pricing, quality, design concept and T&A. • Drive team in appropriately communicating fabric/wash needs for each business to Fabric Engineers, identifying aesthetic needs and costing parameters . • Responsible for bringing new textile technologies via Trend Shows Updates ( Premier Vision , Bread and Butter, TexWorld, Sourcing at Magic, etc. • Model and drive competitive fabric positioning in marketplace and create strategic recommendations on Target's fabric offering to remain competitive, drive differentiation and deliver a competitive advantage Lead the management of all tools that communicate and direct the utilization of the fabric. • Support a heightened focus on talent development through use of coaching and mentoring plans, rotational and stretch assignments and robust training of direct reports. • Contact with Mills/ Vertical Vendors:Sae- A, Edentex, Kobest, Sunikorn, Pacific, Sunny Lace, Mandhana, JB, Globaltex, Acotex, etc. • Seasonal presentations on trends, textile new technologies, and price reduction techniques.
