Daily Duties at Sr.Textile And Materials Research Consultant Contract – Private Mills And Vendors:
• Study the present company case, aligning their needs for improving Knit, Woven’s quality/ construction for both standard fabrics and new developments. • Increase profitability and revenue for each fabric category. • Work alongside with Design and Sourcing, collaborating and working closely with costing department , ensuring a reasonable and intelligent price negotiation for the quality. • Present an In-depth knowledge of textile design, pattern making, and textile manufacturing processes. • Quality Assurance per vendors, country and factories. • Prioritize qualities, limitations, strengths and weaknesses to reproduce a valued bulk production and development. • Central America, South America and Caribbean Vendors and Mills contact . • Review samples and trials, to communicate any flaw in production, and • Supply Chain Elevation Committee for all brand categories. • Responsible for creating Supplier / Vertical Vendors calendar and delivery. Greige commitment, sample yardage, bulk production and Mill capabilities. • In charge of fabric negotiation directly with Mills , supporting sourcing team. • Develop seasonal fabric presentation, providing the team with Big Trend Directions for Fabrics, Trims and Yarns. • Fabric WIP against T&A • Responsible for implementation of quality structure, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise that supports pricing, quality, design concept and T&A. • ITR testing processes . Hand off to Textile Technologist.
