Daily Duties at Everglades Correctional Center:
Counseled & mentored inmates who were serving sentences of 20 years or more through the Offender Reentry Program, a mentoring program through Florida International University. Program objectives included preparing the inmates to reentry society. Objectives were achieved using a wide range of educational and motivational activities, including guest speakers and one-on-one guidance. Specific guidelines and expectations regarding current economic, cultural and societal environments were provided to the inmates.
