Daily Duties at Noramco:

o Includes a diverse range of chemical development projects that seek to maintain or improve manufacturing costs, yields, quality and capacity o Experience with synthetic organic chemistry, process development, analytical chemistry o Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, OSHA, DEA, USP and EP o Adherence to and the promotion of company standards and credo regarding conduct, housekeeping, safety and quality • Expertise with analytical methods, instrumentation, wet chemistry and computer software o Knowledge of computerized data acquisition, analysis and handling techniques to ensure reliable, prompt, precise and accurate test data using established methods and procedures o GC-MS/FID, HPLC/UPLC/MS, IR, Malvern, ROI, titration, optical rotation, KF, LOD o Programs: Empower/Empower2/Citrix, MassLynx, ChemStation, ChemDraw, EDMS/QPaCe, Ariba, Trackwise, eLIMS • Responsible for developing new analytical methods in conjunction with process development research and product transfers o Developed new analytical test methods including the validation protocols and reports, standard operating procedures, and product specifications o Maintain analytical methods to test and release product in a validated or qualified state o Analysis of routine research samples according to existing, approved methods and newly developed, unofficial, analytical methods o New and approved methods transferred to the Quality Control laboratory in adherence with all regulatory and safety guidelines o Provide analytical advice and expertise and interact with other departments including Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, contract laboratories, and various other departments • Collection of experimental data, data interpretation, report generation, and presentation of results and conclusions to colleagues, management and project teams o Provide support to process development research and problem solving efforts o Perform analytical chemistry work necessary to ensure the identity, purity, quality and strength of materials o Proficient in writing reports for effective and persuasive presentations to colleagues, management, and cross-functional project teams o Support quality investigations, process development and explanation of unusual occurrences
