Daily Duties at Cargill Inc. (Ag Horizons) :
Responsibilities include supervision, coaching and development for the Administrative and Accounting team in all the FSG locations, coordination with the Accounting Manager to ensure the organization’s goals are achieved. Ensure that internal controls are in place and monitored. Ensure that all financial processes including settlements, month end close and balance sheet reconciliations are timely and accurate. Actively participate in the execution of the FSG’s strategy and business plans. Attend monthly FSG management team meetings and work with FSG management team on issues in the southern Indiana locations. Participate in FSG and business unit-wide projects such as budgeting, and finance business plan initiatives. Hands on management of daily accounting tasks such as grain settlements and monitoring marketing alternatives contracts. Ensure that processes and procedures in the joint venture program with Wheeler Creek and the put through agreement are in compliance and monitored.
