Daily Duties at National Oilwell Varco (Pressure Control Group) :

Direct Responsibilities @ NOV Manufacturing plant: Purchase Forging and castings for the plant. • Check on open PR’s (Purchase requisitions) • Verify specifications, drawings, revisions etc. • Check the Work order demands requirement. • Verify the standard cost and vendor cost history etc. • Obtain vendor quotes and negotiate pricing and deliveries. • Process purchase orders after the complete check. • Status check on critical and rush orders and improve on-time deliveries. • Update the vendors, receiving and QC department with the ECN (Engineering change notice) changes. • Verification on closed ECN reports for immediate action. • Work on RTV’S (Return to Vendors) and obtain RMA’S (Return material Authorization, co-ordinate with QC in charge.) • Weekly update on open and aged Purchase Order reports. • Assisting the accounting department in processing the vendor invoices and credit issues etc.
