Daily Duties at Cvs:
Pharmacy Manager/Certified Immunizer I provided top of the line patient care while furthering my professional knowledge base in the retail pharmacy world. Daily tasks include but not limited to the following: Successfully manage a pharmacy operating at approximately 3000 prescriptions per week that is open 24 hours per day. Meet and greet patients as they present new, refill and transfer prescriptions. Counsel patients on medication therapy, disease states, and over the counter medication selection and usage. Scan, type, and verify prescriptions and data entry of prescriptions for correctness. Fill prescriptions with correct medications pursuant to physician’s orders. Maintain an open line of communication with local physician’s offices to better assist patients in meeting their prescription needs Maintain adequate inventory levels through order management to not only fill prescriptions but to anticipate future needs of the pharmacy and keep it profitable. Maintain adequate staff scheduling pursuant to pharmacy needs and budget Monthly medication returns of out dated medication to pharmacy warehouse, vendors and the DEA. Daily medication returns of medication to Cardinal Dist. Ordered in error thus keeping costs of pharmacy operations down. Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and appearance. Give Daily flu and pneumonia vaccines and maintained all records accordingly. Screen and interview applicants for technician positions. Preceptor for USN. Keep the pharmacy operating according to the rules and regulations set forth by not only the company but also the NV State Board of Pharmacy.
