* Developed and documented strategy for dispute resolution of 50-75 cases/month * Created supportive written documentation to outline the issues with strengths and weaknesses identified * Processed arbitration awards including issuing settlement drafts, documenting the claim file, and communicating the outcome * Raised issues and offered suggestions to reduce the risk of litigation including modifications to bill processing and standard operating procedures * Considered lowest ultimate cost for settle versus defense decisions * Closed an average of 2 cases per day exceeding the job objective of 1.15-1.3/day * Made proactive contacts to ensure prompt resolution of all pending files * Reviewed explanation of benefits for accuracy of bill processing in accordance with the NJ fee schedule * Consulted and/or negotiated with internal and external legal counsel * Was the main Progressive contact for National Arbitration Forum - handled processing of refunds, email requests and correspondence assignment * Provided litigation training to medical representatives to introduce arbitration handling and how to identify opportunities to offer a compromised settlement to medical providers to avoid litigation * Composed form letters to utilize for settlement offers and response to arbitration filing
