Daily Duties at Well Care Pharmacy:

Pharmacy Manager I provide top of the line patient care while not only furthering my professional knowledge but also establishing and maintaining existing and new patient contracts. I am currently helping to completely renovate, streamline, and grow an independent pharmacy that is locally owned and operated. Completed a full inventory of each of our 5 pharmacies and integrated this into the inventory management system. Work with ComputerRX computer software system. Work with Lien contract patients and invoice the lawyer’s offices for payment. Reach out to physicians and medical office facilities to promote our business and the services we provide. Work as a liaison between Drs offices, patients and the pharmacy to allow for patients to get special injectable and compounded medications. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the owner/CEO that reflects information such as prescription count, average prescription mark-up, claims • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • processing information detailing net profit and loss averages based on medication by brands and insurance processors, list all negative reimbursement claims adjudicated by third parties, submit weekly narcotic dispensing to the DEA pursuant to local and federal statutes, and report total purchases, credits and pending credits processed with our wholesaler Cardinal Distribution. Based on the finding of these reports make suggestions for pricing adjustments to the CEO and submit claims appeals to third parties for claims adjustments to recover loss. Prepare and reconcile our records for third party audits. Work with our in house accountant and teach him how to read reimbursement claims to reconcile the third party reimbursement claims and EFTs to be sure we have been paid properly. Preform cost vs. benefit analysis for different accounts to determine if these accounts are beneficial to our company when deciding to renew these contracts. Work directly with the marketing team to provide leads for potential new and profitable clients. Preformed the set up of our newest location. I placed all the medications on the shelves, created all necessary folders and binders for required reports paperwork, documentation, third party contracting,and licensing. I ordered all the narcotics upon the approval of our DEA license and I scanned, transferred, and created all the patient files that needed to be reassigned to this new location due to our delivery driver’s zones. Preform daily inventory management and order medications to maintain adequate stock within the pharmacy to not only fill medications for our regular monthly patients but also to anticipate growth; all at the same time keeping within a very structured and precise budget. Preform expired and overstock returns Providing excellent customer service by “cycling” or “auto filling” and “calendaring” my regular patients medications so they will always be ready on time and their narcotics can always be ordered ahead of their appointment time so they never need to worry about being out of their medication or needing to go somewhere else and our pharmacy losing a loyal customer because we didn’t do our job and prepare for their arrival. Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, externs, pharmacy students as a preceptor, and pharmacy support personal such as clerks and our delivery drivers. Fill and dispense medications pursuant to physicians orders and the rules and regulations of the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
