Daily Duties at Emd Serono Research & Development Institute:
Responsible for designing and executing the global franchise strategy and supervising preclinical and clinical development projects to deliver the value defined by our strategy. Met with Research & Development Teams to review their progress and provide solutions for problems that could not be resolved by project teams. Examples included solving manufacturing issues and regulatory conversations with FDA for recombinant drug products with inert contaminants of multi-dose syringes. Worked with business development and venture investors to fund external technology company that was key to our long-term strategy. Established working relationship between the pharmaceutical business of Merck Serono and the life science / diagnostic capabilities of EMD Millipore.
