Daily Duties at Legal Services Of The Virgin Islands, Inc:
Manage caseload primarily consisting of a full-range of civil matters including Employment Law, Wills and other advance directives, Family Law, Guardianships, and Landlord/Tenant Law. Research and analyze complex legal questions and documents. Provide legal assistance, advice, and counsel regarding legal rights and obligations to low-income persons, the elderly, and other individuals and organizations that meet Legal Services’ eligibility requirements. Handle the tasks of preparing court papers and legal memoranda. Participate in motion hearings and trials. Provide management-support when the Managing Attorney is out of the office and assisting in the supervising and mentoring of two Legal Support Staff.
