Daily Duties at Driscoll Children's Hospital:
Led department operations to ensure efficient resource management and a remarkable patient experience. Interpreted physician orders to prepare, calculate, and dispense appropriate medication dosage forms for inpatient and outpatient treatment. Recommended pediatric dosing to providers and monitored medication therapy to improve overall efficacy. Reviewed, maintained, and screened patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications. Oversaw pharmacy technicians including coordinating workflow and assessing patient medications. Evaluated and documented all components of pharmaceutical care delivered to customers. Monitored adverse drug reactions, appropriate dosage based on mg/kg dosing, and prevention of drug interactions and allergies. Filled prescription orders in accordance with State and Federal regulations, utilizing technological resources and equipment.
