Daily Duties at Mt. Sinai Medical Center :

Key therapist for weekend coverage for spinal cord, orthopedic and stroke/ traumatic brain injury units. Demonstrated knowledge of injuries, illness or disability of patient populations. Performed intake evaluations, made recommendations, provided treatment as indicated; transferred SCI patients to exercise mats, assisted patients to perform ADLS and provided equipment training, and passive range of motion exercises, Instructed family members on follow-through programs and provided psychosocial support to patients and families as needed. Provided stroke rehabilitation and total hip and total knee rehabilitation. Updated M-F staff on patient status. Completed documentation as per departmental standard. Caseload, 8-10 patients 1:1, every Saturday, plus led Saturday morning exercise group, 10-15 patients in attendance.
