Daily Duties at U.S. Army:
I supervised a Human Resources Center of 8 employees. Under my guidance, we administratively managed 450 personnel. Developed and maintained HR processes to identify needs of the organization. Researched and reported organizational staffing needs. I am trained as the Management Level Equal Opportunity Representative (EEO) and Victim Advocate. I executed briefings regarding Human Resource issues with solutions for correcting any administrative issues to higher management levels. As a Recruiter and career counselor, I offered guidance and explained possible areas to help excel a career or possible advancement to include education levels and training. I managed a quarterly and annual evaluation system for personnel at all levels of the organization. Prepared and explained reports of benefits and compensation for personnel. I updated and maintained quarterly reports of organizational status and reported them to higher management to include state and federal levels. I managed several Personnel Database Management Systems similar to HRIS. I represented the organization for personnel disputes in regards to HR issues and investigations ranging from misconduct to violations of organizational policies. I wrote HR policies regarding safety, conduct and assignments of key personnel. Managed recruiting and retention issues to maintain staffing at all levels of the organization. I continued to expand my knowledge of HR practices by attending courses to improve HR functions to better the organization. Represented the organization in annual meetings to create and implement HR policies to serve the organization better. I constantly sought improvement to HR functions by designing and implementing streamlined processes. As a leader, I always had accountability of personnel and calculated turnover rates. I managed personnel assignments, transfers and promotions to improve staffing of the organization. I also handled pay operations for 40 federal employees that covered FMLA, FLSA and applicable state and federal laws. In addition, I represented the organization during union meetings requiring supervisor’s participation.
