Daily Duties at Fernbank Science Center:
The center provides a variety of science education opportunities to all the students in Dekalb County School System as well as the Atlanta community. Fernbank hosts science classes as well as offering outreach programs. The center improves science understanding through specialized instruction from the staff who are trained in particular subjects in the field of science from ornithology to physics. My specialty was public health education/HIV/AIDS. This is done not only by instruction but through direct interaction and contributions to the development of new curriculum trends and innovations. My main duties were to provide reproductive health education to teachers and students in Dekalb County School System, grades 5-12.
