Daily Duties at Gain Capital:

I was brought as the back office analyst responsible for executing bank swaps, trade confirmations and p&l reporting. I was promoted to manage the team responsible for all retail trading desk operations. My 2 direct reports manage all positions, P&L and performance reporting, reconciliations, application of overnight interest rates, the opening and closing of derivative products and hedge positions. I indirectly mange 3 client relations employees with client reconciliations and bank position confirmations and other client issues involving trading activates. I direct the London trade desk on what banks specific trades must be dealt with and what derivative positions must be closed. My main responsibility is mitigating operational risk through the directing of my operational team and instructions I relay to the executing traders.
