Daily Duties at Department Of Navy | Nationwide:
● Conducted baseline assessments, supporting upgrades to environmental systems to meet requirements as new regulations were implemented, and providing field support to Navy and Marine Crops facilities in meeting these new requirements. ● Managed other engineers in providing these services to West Coast and Alaska facilities where I established regional programs for managing underground storage tanks and for site restorations, resolved environmental compliance at Navy facilities, and negotiated compliance issues with state regulators. ● Promoted to Headquarters to become Head of the Environmental Engineering Branch. In this position, had direct responsibilities for the Navy’s Shoreside Environmental Programs for wastewater treatment, potable water, oil and hazardous spill response, asbestos and radon abatement, underground storage tanks, industrial wastewater, pollution prevention, and hazardous abatement.
