Daily Duties at Magna Powertrain:
• Supervised skilled trades, Electricians, Millwrights, Plumbers, HVAC, Carpenters and Painters to maintain plant electrical power, steam and air distribution. • Improved mean time to repair by 12% by implementing new PM programs in supervising seven machining areas in the maintenance department. • Achieved zero unscheduled downtime in a Powerhouse through PM’s done on all safety devices, feed water pumps, steam traps as well as infrared and vibration analysis on 2 B&W water tube boilers capable of 30,000# steam/hr with a design pressure of 250 PSI. • The boilers are controlled by a Honeywell DCS system (digital control system) upgraded from Bailey pneumatic controls. One boiler operates 24/7, leaving a spare boiler to do refectory and other normal types of repair and maintenance as well as preparing for annual insurance inspections. Supervised skilled trades, Electricians, Millwrights, Plumbers, Machine Repair, HVAC, Carpenters and Painters to support machining and assembly operations in the manufacturing and assembly of transfer cases and transaxles for the automotive industry. Equipment maintained from gear cutting machines to robotic equipment. Maintaining electrical, mechanical and hydraulic elements.
