Provided support to the legal department in the following roles as a records manager, general clerk, contracts administrator, and legal assistant. Duties: • Records management: Arranging and coordinating the storage and retrieval of important files and documents company wide. o Monitoring and updating a record storage database. • Claims work: Aiding in the legal document production process and conducting research. • Legal assistance: Under the supervision of an attorney resolving routine legal issues. • Subpoenas: Searching for and providing documents or arranging the appearance of witnesses who were subpoenaed. • Research and writing: Developing best practices and company policies based upon federal regulations and industry standards. o Developing a record retention policy and procedure, process for demobilization, contact with law enforcement, litigation holds, code of ethics, and immigration and nationality act compliance. • Conducting equal employment opportunity reporting and investigation as well as small business reporting. o Acting as small business liaison at a Washington, DC SBA convention. o Updating company’s government EEO database. • Business registrations and licensing: Obtaining and renewing all the business registrations and licensing for each of the LLCs in the company assuring they can conduct business year to year. • Union Agreements: Maintain and terminate union agreements as needed.
