Daily Duties at Falconstor Software:
• Performed functional, performance, usability and regression white box testing of our Virtual Tape Library (VTL) and Single Instance Repository (SIR) with Deduplication, proprietary software on multiple OS platforms. • Managed and configured IBM, EMC, and Sun multi-server/SAN storage systems utilizing Brocade fiber channel switched fabrics/WWPN zoning. • Proficient in the following backup applications: Netbackup, Backup Exec, Netvault, Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), Networker, Commvault Galaxy. • Knowledgeable in the Linux OS of Red Hat, SUSE, AIX, and HP-UX. Working knowledge of shell scripting. • Actively participated in software design review requirement meetings. • Prepared product release notes, manuals, procedure guides and training materials. • Created and updated test plans in Test Link as new features were added to the product. Reviewed existing test processes and redesigned them as needed. • Test result analysis and discrepancy reporting using Bugzilla. Verified resolved issues for closure as tickets were returned to QA from development. • Project lead on EMC Clariion Storage VTL Installation, Recovery and Upgrade images.
