Daily Duties at Openlink Financial:
• Performed manual testing (integration, functional, usability and regression) on our enterprise level transaction lifecycle support software for commodities and financial trading. • Researched company business requirements and objectives in order to devise relevant test plans and strategies. • Discovered defects, managed them and worked closely with the development group to ensure that issues were dealt with and resolved in a timely manner. DevTrack was used as the tool to report defects to development. • Performed in-house client specific database upgrade testing to newer software versions, prior to release to the client. Crafted release notes detailing any discovered issues, system performance, upgrade script timings and the results of sanity testing on the upgraded database. Worked closely with the account managers to follow up on and provide support for any issues that arose during the client’s live upgrade. • In-depth failure analysis performed against thousands of automated test executions, based on the nightly check-ins of new code featuring development fixes. • Assisted Quality Assurance management in implementing processes and accomplishing Quality Assurance related goals. • Understanding of relational databases (SQL Server) and working knowledge of SQL queries. Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
