Daily Duties at Canon Usa:

Provided regional technical support for 250+ remote and on-site users. Installed, configured and supported Novell and Microsoft servers for three sites (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio). Coordinated and implemented in a 28-day-straight project, the data and voice cabling upgrades, which involved moving the users to a temporary location and the moving/testing of the analog/ISDN phones and data connections. Replaced the hub system with Cisco 6509 switch. • Maintained user accounts, configured network printing, granted file access, backed-up server data, and optimized network performance. Basic Cisco Administration. • Created an Excel tool to assist Human Resources and department managers in tracking employee performance. • Resolve issues remotely with PC Anywhere. • Installed and configured independent networks for the Training Center. • Provided daily technical support for issues received from Magic ticketing system. • Scheduled and implemented hardware and software rollouts. • Created images of all equipment models with Ghost. • Coordinated lease returns with users and vendor. Tracked Assets in Access database. • Created Reference manuals which consisted of contacts, departmental procedures and polices, setup instructions, user instructions, and technician notes. • Trained users formally and one-on-one. • Responsible for telecommunications moves, additions, changes- punch telephone lines, and replaced jacks. Ordered new phone lines, disconnects, and equipment from vendor.
