Team Lead for successful long-term VMware virtualization project with 2 people reporting directly to me. Maintain a multi-cluster VMware Windows based environment (400+ servers). Perform a large volume of server builds, decommissions, P2V (physical to virtual) migrations, perform V2V (virtual to virtual) migrations. Reconfigure servers hardware allocations to satisfy customer needs. Coordinate outages with customer for approved maintenance windows. Ensure that server hardware is never configured past the environments present limitations. Troubleshoot connectivity issues from luns to servers and their host’s. Troubleshoot backup failures. Clean up drives running out of space and or make request to add additional SAN storage. Train others in the VMware environment and lead them through a large volume of P2V projects. Complete ESX host server builds. Add virtual networks to clusters. Assisted in rebuild of crashed vCenter server during sheduled on-call. Analyze server and applications issues, resolving quickly and completely for continued productivity and peak performance.
