Daily Duties at Community Wholesale Tire:

Spearhead daily activities of busy, non-union distribution center, with oversight of 160K+ sq. ft. warehouse, maintenance, and security functions, as well as equipment.  Direct activities of 15 warehouse staff, 22 drivers and 6 order entry staff. Able to establish a team-spirited environment through a positive and proactive leadership style.  Drive candidate selection and interviewing processes, and managed discipline/development of staff. Schedule shifts, evaluate performance.  Developed the first computerized deposit program, making tracking customers, their orders and inventory more efficient and accurate.  Created and successfully implemented the bin location system for inventory, which reduced order picking times, established a reduction in delivery turnover times from 7 days to 100% next day service on all customers, contributed to major efficiency and improvement by increased revenues and productivity.  Maintained inventory variance of 0.0006% over the last four years with $9.9 million in inventory and running at over $3.0 million in sales each month. Implemented a continual cycle count resulting in faster and more accurate counts.
