Daily Duties at Community Wholesale Tire:
Spearhead daily activities of busy, non-union distribution center, with oversight of 160K+ sq. ft. warehouse, maintenance, and security functions, as well as equipment. Direct activities of 15 warehouse staff, 22 drivers and 6 order entry staff. Able to establish a team-spirited environment through a positive and proactive leadership style. Drive candidate selection and interviewing processes, and managed discipline/development of staff. Schedule shifts, evaluate performance. Developed the first computerized deposit program, making tracking customers, their orders and inventory more efficient and accurate. Created and successfully implemented the bin location system for inventory, which reduced order picking times, established a reduction in delivery turnover times from 7 days to 100% next day service on all customers, contributed to major efficiency and improvement by increased revenues and productivity. Maintained inventory variance of 0.0006% over the last four years with $9.9 million in inventory and running at over $3.0 million in sales each month. Implemented a continual cycle count resulting in faster and more accurate counts.
