Daily Duties at Utc Fire & Security:
Responsible for providing telephone technical support on the entire line of EST fire alarm/security products to EST’s Strategic Partners, Distributors and end users. Assist sales persons with application, specification and design issues. Test issues that are presented by field technicians to verify their findings or to help provide a solution to their problem. Assist field technicians by providing on site technical support when requested. · Also responsible for timely submission of reports pertaining to technical support field trips. Wrote technical articles for publication in EST’s quarterly correspondence to it’s Strategic Partners, distributors and end users. Submitted problem trouble reports for issues found either in the field or while testing of systems. Assisted Compliance and Testing department with acceptance testing of product enhancements, new products and new releases of software programs. Responsible for management of Technical Support lab in new facility. Worked with general contractor during installation to ensure all the needs of the lab were met. Responsible for physical layout of the lab, ordering and installation of parts and overseeing day-to-day operations of the lab. ·Functioned as both Level 1 and Level 2 call center supervisor. Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing of these levels while considering employee absences, vacations, etc. Report directly to Technical Services Manager.
