Daily Duties at Gamestop:
My role as the District Manager was to motivate, coach, and lead my team( 16 stores) to exceed sales and profit goals. This was accomplished by several responsibilites that I excelled at. One area was daily visits to the stores and ensuring that operational standards were at the highest level( neat, clean, and organized). I specialized in recruiting, developing and retaining our talented managers to ensure customer service standards never waivered and a succession plan was always in place. Other tasks I was responsible for as a District Manager each week was schedule planning and validating, analyzing and actioning all loss prevention reports, and all human resource functions( performance management, reviews, employee relations, unemployment hearings, job fairs, and interviewing management candidates. As a District Manager, I was also responsible for inventory management( physically doing each stores inventory twice a year).
What they like about Gamestop:
Organizations with strong, centralized leadership are particularly attractive to you. You require a work environment with leadership that aggressively seeks to expand and grow the business and does so in a visible and decisive manner. In general you prefer to work in an environment in which there is a strong link between leadership, its actions, and a strong set of company-wide values.
