Daily Duties at Acuity, A Mutual Insurance Company:
Deliver expert legal counsel to Vice President-Claims, claims management and multiple other executives. Provide leadership and resolution for various business and insurance problems/issues while advising on specific claims. Ensure company awareness of all legislative and regulatory developments along with current case law and how each will affect company operations. Team with company officers and senior management to review/draft corporate agreements as well as other special legal assignments. Coordinate litigation systems, business rule development, billing guidelines and reporting requirements. Manage approved attorney network of 200 outside law firms.
