Daily Duties at St. Luke's Hospital White Institute For Clinical Research:

Responsible for the complete coordination (including enrollment, consent, recruiting, study visits, cognition testing, and physical and cognitive assessment of the patient) of phase 2-4 pharmaceutical and device studies. Responsible for the assessment, education and support of stroke survivors and their families, writing procedures and policies for tPA administration, stroke education materials, planning educational events and conferences, and presenting to local groups and regional medical and nursing staff. Preparation and submission of regulatory and IRB documents. Responsible for clinical research operations, writing IRB policies. Responsible for orientation program and curriculum for new staff. Evaluation of study feasibility at the site level. Assessment and reporting of serious events. Data entry and authoring source documents, EMR documentation. Education of doctors and hospital staff. Assisted Neurosurgeon with deep brain stimulation device placement, postoperative testing, and monitoring in Parkinson's disease. Presented to nursing and medical staff on tPA use in stroke, stroke prevention education, and treatment. Gave group presentations on signs and symptoms of stroke, prevention, and medical care. Provided continuing education for nurses on stroke care, outcomes, and treatment. Assisted neurosurgeon with deep brain stimulati
